The passion, the human striving to create a bridge for the soul's ascent from earth to heaven. As if in response to quiet forces of supernatural moments, when paths of humanity and divinity meet, composers marked each of their pieces and formed them into a unique artistic response to the Christian story, each of them alone and in in a different way.

About the project
Stage performance
The repertoire of Miracles is focused on church music of the present and past time. It includes music by the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, the Israeli composer Boaz Avni and mediaeval vocal music meet in a sound image which works timelessly, eternally, open. This succession of music – regarding the time of its composition they are a few centuries apart – reveals a tight contact of various aesthetic criteria, but it also leads to a confrontation between them. Profound theological roots in the
sources of the texts provide a solution, thus enabling an experience of an upwardly spiralling union of the soul and the embodied human voice. Music reflects a passionate, human striving to create a bridge for the soul’s ascent from earth to heaven.
